Salam and hello everybody..
See the headline? Yes exactly..being consistent in writing my blog is a big problem for me! ahahaha I did mentioned over and over again how I'm gonna update the blog frequently but here I am returning back again after what? 2-3 months? ahaha sorry about that guys.
So, what's up lately? Spring is coming!! Yeay!! I can't wait. Enough of the cold already. Its too much..I want to wear just a layer of clothing, to be able to wear flipflop and sandals again. So yea..I'm welcoming spring with arms wide open.
As for my studies, things have gone much more smoothly this semester, things has settled down so more focused on work and stuff although procrastinating is still a problem. =( Grades and feedback from last semester's assignments was not bad after all, except for my socio- linguistics module, I pass with borderline mark! huhu definitely not my area, I struggle to complete that particular assignment but yeah the other two modules was great so it kind of supplement the not-so-good grade. This semester was all about lecture, no visits whatsoever but I took one module on online learning. Interesting module, so many new things learned and I hope I can implemented it once I'm back.
So, life in Brum?? It is exciting as ever...although lately I stayed home most of the time due to health reasons (fever n all). However, being away from home sometime makes it hard especially when you get sick and all. But I'm lucky to have such caring and loving friends with me. They took care of me well during my sickness. From preparing meals, bringing me water and juice, checking on me frequently and accompanying me to the hospital...I can't thank you much! You guys are awesome! Thank you Mumui, Dyane, Hanna and Tan. I'm so blessed to have you guys! Alhamdullilah..
One exciting experience is definitely when the snow decides to make its grand landing here in Birmingham. The city of Bham and Selly Oak turns white within minutes! It was such a beautiful scenery..MasyaAllah.. to be able to witness another of His great creation, I'm blessed! I was out that day with Tan and Hanna. We went to Coventry Road hunting for headscarves and Abaya for the Maulidur Rasul event. The snow falls heavily that day and we were so excited obviously. We went home when its dark and we got stuck in the bus due to the traffic. The traffic was really bad that day, our bus was literaly not moving! Back home, we went outside togeher with Dy and Mui to the pathways just few walks from home to play with the snow. Sakai alert!! Snow ball fighting, building snowman, and just having great laugh with them out in the snow..such a priceless and memorable experience.
Oh, just recently I have the opportunity to meet fellow Bruneians in two separate events; The Maulidur Rasul Celebration and The 28th Brunei National Day BBSS Paintball Tournament. It was awesome to meet the officers from BSU and also Bruneian students here in the UK. We cooked fried vermicelli for the Maulidur Rasul event, its one of the local delicacies. This reminds me so much of my mum. She made the best fried noodles!! hehe So here are some of the pictures took during both events. More on my facebook's album Eyan Ismail feel free to add me up!
